Unexpected Turns

I’ve been adding to my NaNo project for the past few months, and, according to my outline, I’m almost finished. Originally, this book was the second in a four series book, but I changed it after seeing trilogies were more marketable. To prepare for queries on the first book, I began to outline the third, and originally last, book. However, I quickly realized there was more to the story and that I needed to go back to four books. So now, my trilogy has returned to a tetralogy. With the outline for the third book complete, I’m happy with the decision. The ending doesn’t seem rushed and now there’s room to include every scene I had imagined.

Sometimes, you just need to go with your gut instincts.
