We’re about halfway through July. And I’m halfway through Camp NaNo!
I ended up falling behind in my daily word count last week. Due to an unexpected health scare, I ended up in the hospital. I’m recovering and doing better, but was left physically and mentally drained for several days afterward. I didn’t want to write, let alone think, about my project. So, I rested instead watching anime.
At the beginning of the month, I started Ravaged with 25,000 words. Since then, I’ve written about 12,000 words this NaNo. Natalie and her rag-tag group are deep in their stealth mission, working to complete their main objective. I’m having fun working with their different abilities and how it’s helping, and sometimes hindering, their journey. As Natalie is one of the most experienced on the team, along with three who’ve never gone outside their country before, I’m enjoying the contrasting views she has with the others.
Now, onto the second half of the month and camp! I’ll do a final update once July ends too.
