Camp NaNo Results

Sorry for the delay in this post. I moved last weekend and didn’t have internet, aside from my mobile data, until today. I wanted to post this on Friday, but alas, here it is.

July has come and gone and during this month, I took part in Camp NaNoWriMo where I set a goal of 30,000 words to try and finish a WIP I’ve been working on for years. While I did reach the 30,000 words, I am not yet finished with Ravaged. After several action packed scenes, some heartfelt ones, and character revelations, I reached the rising action in act 3 before the climax, but still have to finish the big, climatic scene and then the fallout afterwards.

Doing this Camp NaNo has been a lot of fun and I’m so glad I went back to this project. I had a blast stepping into Natalie’s character and writing about her adventure. Having something to work on has been rewarding and I can’t wait to finish this project and share it one day. Taking a step away from the series I’m querying was a delight and helped me enjoy writing again. I honestly was dreading it after being wound up from the querying process.

I may post the occasional update on Ravaged and other projects, though they’ll most likely be at the end of a regular post instead of their own update post.

Did you take part in Camp NaNo? How’d it go? Looking forward to NaNo this November? Let me know! And as always, happy writing!
